Old Meets the New

Part of my HO layout is based upon the fact that many Diesel powered trains were in the same overlapping era that steam operated in as well, when this happened to be the case in this photo, the two were on the same track headed for each other. Who would give the right or way to the other? As with any freelance layout such as mine, I operate trains with a loose schedule, just for fun and mostly to entertain the grand kids and other visitors as they enjoy just seeing "trains run"

My collection of Atlas track, Lifelike buildings and a miriad of all sorts of mixes and matches don't seem to have an effect on visitors, the interest lies in the operation and scenery that I enjoy showing off. No matter the time of the era or what trains run with others from another age I can always get a smile from even the youngest visitor, and that is the whole point of having a model railroad.

The best to all,

johncpo
