G Scale Lumber Railroad Coaling Facility

Posted by wernerjp

Got the idea for this facility from a prototype facility in Australia - used a Lionel O Gauge maintenance car along with a gondola car as an access ramp (both purchased for cheap on Ebay).  Use of some G scale narrow gauge (maybe like 2 foot gauge) equipment -purposed to another use.  Constructed two scale wheelbarrows from scratch and added a modified plastic person purchased via Ebay from China.  That poor guy has to hand shovel the coal into my steam locomotives.  Started this outdoor railway in early 2008 when we relocated to paradise in Beaufort SC - the "Lowcountry".
