Up mixed goods passing Wollar

Posted by Bylong

NSWGR locomotive 3390 on the Up Mixed Goods passes Wollar township.

Translation: Up as in Up/Down, a direction like East/West, Mixed Goods as in mixed freight, not a block train.

This photo has had some digital manipulation in so far as the background sky was extended upwards to cover a brick wall, the background is painted on 1/4" masonite.

The small cream building is what it looks like, a backyard lavatory (in Oz slang, a 'dunny').

The line leading off into the distance is a coal mine branch.

The blue sign to the left is one of hundreds of enamel signs along the main lines that told how many miles from Griffiths Bros Teas in Sydney.

The locomotive is a C32 class from Trainorama, an Australian manufacturer.
