You might tru Sierra also. They have a sound system that is specified for a West Side Lumber Shay.

 Hi  Cacole is right pheonix is a good sound card, I use it in my Bachmann 2-8-0 sound is very good and unit is easy to wire upSmile [:)]

The only one I'm aware of that will operate on DC or DCC is the Phoenix Sound System.

Who makes a good large scale sound unit? Not really looking to go DCC, but I will if I have to. The loco is a 45 ton Bachmann Spectrum that is DCC ready. I was hoping maybe someone made a DC sound unit that used the NMRA socket. Any chance?
