Hey gang, just finished my first trussle bridge (5' x 16"). In response to a member's previous inquiry regarding what type of material to use when building bridges... I found a great product.

Over the past 3 years I have been collecting old BABY CRIBS along the road sides. While small heads may not like them, I have found the side slots are perfect for trussle building. They look just like ties...and need very little trimming.

I aged the pieces outside for 6-9 months, letting nature take it's toll. Then, built just the size I was looking for. The end result surprised even my wife... and helped recycle usable material.

Hope this helps those working on a limited budget like me.
farsid9
