Please allow me to introduce myself! A newbie to the trains.com forum but with over forty years of interest in the hobby of building and operating model railway equipment based upon the Southern Railway in England. [4mm, OO scale, running on HO track]. Now retired I have recently been introduced to the larger scale garden railroad scene by a group of volunteers who operate the Vines Garden Railroad near where I live. Being reasonably confident in the field of ‘electricks‘, this is the area where I am attempting to keep the equipment running on over 1000 feet of 45 mm track at the V.G.R. Now I can not tell the difference between a Shay and a Baldwin but, from what I have been able to see so far, this is the forum where I can obtain answers to some of the questions that I may have in the future.
