Hi, I've been playing around with some parts and pieces and built a great little caboose that matches my Bachmann Jackson Sharp passenger cars. I started with a used Bachmann bobber caboose that I got cheap on eBay and a replacement roof for a passenger coach, also found on eBay cheap. The roof and ladders had to be removed from the caboose. This was the hardest part since it was all one cast piece. A lot of time consuming cutting. Next the passenger roof was cut to fit. I used about 4.5" from each end and discarded the center. This gave me a 9" roof that fits nicely on the caboose body. Next I painted it to match my ET&WNC (Tweetsie) passenger cars. Right now I am waiting for the paint to dry before final assembly. Photos coming soon.
