I have found a missing link to this data and it still works:

http://products.lgb.de/produkt.nsf/bede3443927b513dc125691c0045fb87?OpenView

I stumbled across it with a search engine, no idea how. I suggest ripping the whole catalog as its very useful resource as you know.

I know Vic uses the UK Forum so he will bear out what I report.

There have been releases of LGB stock onto the UK market lately but it worth mentioning that this seems to be goods that have been stored in a warehouse for a while.  Recent purchases of track which seems to have been produced in Germany and some clearance price small US outline locos have been offered by UK dealers.

What this means I haven't a clue as I am a non LGB railroader, but I mention it for what it is worth.  Maybe Vic can put his spin on it. Laugh [(-D]

rhbswitzerland,

I am a member of the "marklin users net" forum and we have been following the LGB story also as many of us model with Marklin and also have LGB for the garden. We are hearing a couple of things; first Marklin is still in bad shape financially and may be sold again and second a lot of the LGB take over is in dispute with the Silvergate (LGB of America) over North America product & distrubution and with the chinese factories who were producing some of the LGB.

See link:http://www.suedwest-aktiv.de/region/geislingerzeitung/aus_stadt_und_kreis/3751756/artikel.php

The article is in German and is about Marklin, so some of us have to use Babelfish.

Well my transmogrification of the Babblefish gobbledygook was fairly close (within a mile)

German/English is always fun, remember the JFK/Berliner urban legend?

"Ich bin ein Berliner!"

Here is a rough translation (I could be wrong though):

Can someone say why the Americans are so hochnässig to me and have released the old web page of LGB.

It serves no one with garden railroads, this behavior of the US is offshoot.

I expect a good answer from overseas.

Courtesey babblefish:

Traurig, sprechen wir nicht Deutsches.

Translation courtesey babblefish:

"To me times someone can say why the Amis is so hoch nässig and the old web page of LGB nich to have released. It does not serve Gartenbahner, this behavior US of the folder. I expect a good answer from overseas.

With the best course greetings from Switzerland Andi Engi "

Attempt at translation from Babblefish Germglish massacre to English

Can someone tell me why Amis (no translation) is so highly (no translation but I suspect something akin to 'screwed up') and why the old LGB website has not been released (updated to the new website?) It does not help the garden railroader, this behavior (you got me?). I expect a good answer from overseas.

With the best greetings from Switzerland, Andi Engi

my reply:

Andi, welcome to the forum

I wish we could tell you more but after LGB was aquired by Marklin, the LGB website went dark, and Marklin was very slow to bring back the European web page. The old USA websites are likely gone. Silvergate Distributors still has the old LGBoA catalog of previous LGB listings from before the failure, but I do not have the web page, sorry.

English to German translation massacre courtesey Babblefish:
