OK,  next question -  What is the formula you use to determine the distance needed to run a 3% grade to a height of 18" above the road bed?  You math wizards out there give me some ideas here. I want to do a cross over but not sure how far back to begin the grade, if you know what I mean?  Also, do you think 18" is high enough to allow a Bachmann Big Hauler Engine to pass underneath the roadbed above it?Many thanks.........
