My son ships out for basic in the Army on Tuesday morning. He actually got a pretty good job. He is going to be a CH 47D repairman. He will be working on these. Please keep him in your prayers.

I remember hearing an old motor pool veteran proclaim, "Its better to be fixing the holes on the outside of a tank than to be inside recieving them" Guess thats the same for them eggbeaters. Wishing him good luck and a safe deployment.

   Have fun with your trains

Last trip I took on a sh*thook there was hydraulic fluid leaking all over me for the entire flight.  Seems that the crew knows when they are out of fluid when it stops leaking.  Scary things to fly in, if one rotor beating the air into submission wasn't enough, they went and built a bird with two.

I'm at a holding tank (transient barracks they call em) until they decide if I'm going "into the box" or taking the bird home.  Not much to do but relay things around the world to post on the internet via my computer back home (love those air force techies!).  Hope to hear good news in the next few days.   If I'm here long enough to see your son I'll be sure to look after him.

He must be going to replace my daughter! That is her current job and she is coming back from Iraq this summer.

Robert,
What is your sons name. I'll add him to my prayer list. Naturally, all service men and women are also included. United we stand. Separated we fall"

Same as mine but he's the IV and I am the III.
