I am building a garden railroad like the narrow gauge railroad on thomas the tank engine. I want to call it the walters railroad can you guys think a of a better name
Railroad names are usually geographic in nature like mine the Chesapeake and Appalachian Railway (though it barely reaches either). It was common for new, small, struggling railroads to have grandious names to attract investors. It also spells out to the "C A R" which will be good for a logo when I get to that point. Some of my favorite railroad names are take offs of real railroads like the "Dulles & Reston Garden Weeds R.R" paying homage to the Denver & Rio Grande Western or the Chesapeake & Western, also know as the "Crooked & Weedy". Some have family names in theirs and/or use charming characteristics like KC Marshall's KC&D Railway, the "Kitbashed Corrupt and Decrepid Railway" (I think his wife's name begins with a D). Most of all have fun with it.

Hi yugioh
That would make the railway very Welsh in flavor so a Welsh name, so perhaps something like.
Myrddin Railway ( Merlin Railway) sorry that's the only word I know the welsh spelling for and you have a railway not a railroad which is in keeping with what you want to do.
As an aside the creator of Thomas was heavily involved in one of the preserved Welsh narrow gauge lines so you simply must have the fat controller somewhere keeping an eye on things
Never mind my ramblings
Just have fun
regards John
