Can someone tell me if something has to be done to aristocraft switches to make them work better, because i think i heard that something needed to be done.

I've heard of others experiencing troubles with their switches. I've used their 5' radius switches on a few projects, and haven't had any trouble with them. There seems to be quite a bit of variation, and perhaps I got a good batch.

If you're having derailment problems you may find that the switch blades don't make contact with the stock rails when you operate the switch to the diverging track, very gently bend the end of the blade that extra bit to make contact. As Kevin said, some are good, some not quite so. I don't have Aristo switches on my main line, only in the yard, LGB radius 5 are on the main and they are very good.

Cheers,

Kim

You reckon somebody might be a little more specific about these "problems"?
