Magazine meeting coverage question
Posted by Camaro1967 on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 7:57 AM

I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I am very disappointed that GR has not had any previews of the Las Vegas meeting tour layouts. I attended the meeting in Chicago, and for two issues prior to the meeting there were articles with pictures of some of the tour layouts. It was even fun to go back in the magazines and look for the layouts I had visited. But in the present June issue there is nothing.  This is very disappointing, since I was considering attending, but maybe I will wait for another year.

Hi Paul,

We share your disappointment. Each year, we depend on the local club hosting the convention to send us photos/information on the railways. Despite our efforts, we received no material from the Vegas club, so for the first time in a number of years, we were not able to preview the convention. There is a convention web site, but unfortunately, there are no photos of railways on tour: http://2007ngrc.com//index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

If there's anyone from the Vegas group online, please share some photos of the upcoming convention.

Thanks Rene for the quick response. I suspected as much. I am sure that you more than anyone else would of liked to have some pictures to publish in Garden Railways.  I would guess that it would help the attendance too.  Now I am not so excited anymore. Its a long trip for me, but I would go.
