Lionel Holiday Train

Does anyone know off-hand if the lionel "large scale" holiday trains are made for outdoor use? I may be purchasing one from 1999 and I can't find any info about it.

Thanks,

Keith

Yeah, they'll run outside.

But maybe not for very long.

Most of the stuff was not very.....robust.

Some folks have good luck with it, some don't.

The Atlantics can be iffy.

The Thomas stuff, and the little 0-4-0's, gears can be a problem.

And finding parts can be interesting.

Sometimes Lionel will actually have something!

If you want to depend on it, get something else to depend on, and run this until it drops.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info, that is what I figured. I will only be using it around Christmas time in Florida so it will probably suit my needs.
