It might be cold and it might be inconvenient but at least its cold enough to get a good nights sleep.

Cool photos! (yes the pun is intended)
Very nice. I always like seeing what this "snow" thing looks like on other people's layouts. Perhaps someday I will have the DDSL under the white stuff.
Those models ain't to shabby either!

Jack you have only slightly less chance than i do of ever having a snowfall on your layout and that is none at all.
I have been to Florida in January and it is only a bit colder than it is here in July.
Mate i was staying in Tampa and went all over just about is that anywhere near you?
We did some winter running a few years back.

Hey there,
Excellent shots everyone! My line is VERY buried...trees and all. Not it is just the waiting game until Spring. Lots of work to do indoors so the time should go quick. Later eh...Brian.
Those are some cool pictures. I especially love the rotary snow plow.

Hey Matt , great snow shots there ! Thats one of those USA rotarys correct ? Tell me is it functional ?
Yes, USA D&RGW rotary.
It works somewhat in powdery snow. If you look closely in the second photo you'll see the snow blowing off to the side. But if the snow is icy or thick, the blades quickly clog up. I wonder if it would work better if the blades were metal? I'm thinking of installing a battery for power so the blades will spin regardless of track power. That might help too.
To do real plowing, I've used an Aristo-Craft wedgeplow modified and mounted to the front of a Bachmann 2-8-0. It sort of looks like a K-27 with those huge wedge plows used on the Silverton branch. It works great too.
Awesome setup! How effective is the plow in snow?
Them are some cool pics, I'll have to head over to Issiac's house and take some picks. (cough, buried in around seven to eight feet of snow, cough) I think i'll photoshop a red line where the tracks are (were last he saw of them)
Great winter photos , here are a couple of mine
Love the snow on the roofs of those coaches . Nice pictures there ! Does that overhead really work ?
