Why is the E-Mail me box checked, I would rather it not be checked.  Yes I am lazy and dont like to read the mail. by the way I have un-checked the box 4 times so far but whenever i hit the space bar the check mark reappers

Check inside your profile.  You might have it turned on there.

Click on "Update Profile" at the top of this page, then scroll to the bottom of your profile and review the e-mail settings you have selected.
