Christmas layout update
Posted by bman36 on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 9:36 AM

Hi everyone,

A short while back Rene had asked what our plans were for Christmas and our layouts. I had posted regarding a layout our church was to build as part of our Christmas decorating. After much deliberation the idea unfortuneately had to be axed. My initial thought was that cost was a factor but was not actually the case. In short there was just not enough time to build the quality of layout that was desired. The good news is that the entire concept will be revisited for Father's Day 2007! While that changes how the layout will be built, it also means the idea of a permanent Garden RR for the church can be looked at. With that in mind 2007 is looking awesome! Later eh...Brian.

Brian, you used to do a Church one on the back of your trailor, do you still do that?

Cheers,

Kim

Hi Kim,

I only used the semi trailer for one year. This past year I did not do a layout at all since I had used all of my track up. The neat thing is that the church missed having the trains so they are willing to pay for one of their own. That is awesome since they want it to be done with excellence. Planning will have to begin in the new year. Should be a LOT of fun to do. Later eh...Brian.

Nice one Brian, your church is funding a layout, I think that is an excellent church and I bet you have a large congregation there.

Cheers,

Kim

No pictures from me because we or I should say I send out 1 set every x-mas to a family I think would bring the cheer. I have always said that every boy always wanted one. Should here what the man of the house wants to do....they want to play.

This year I thought there would be no train set to any one but I got lucky and sent the gift on to them.

Enjoy to those who received the trains this year, 2006.

William
