Garden Railroad at Disney World?
Posted by jzmsvm on Thursday, October 12, 2006 2:15 PM

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that there is a garden railroad layout at Disney World in Orlando. I'm going in November and would love to see how Disney does their magic with a layout. Any ideas on where it's located?

Thanks! Jennifer

The Garden Railroad at Epcot is located in the German Pavilion. It is an LGB/Disney production.

LGB will also be placing trains under the large Christmas tree that is located in the American Pavilion which is one country over (past Italy). The Christmas trains are scheduled to be in place around november 9th.

Here are a few photos of the German pavilion layout:

If you are going to Orlando you need to see what is possibly the largest indoor G scale layout  anywhere - http://www.theotherorlando.com/contents/chapters/13/trainland.html

I have seen it twice  on my visits to Florida - very impressive indeed

Orlando G  RR is only 4800 sq ft????  I thought it would be a big one.
No photos of it tho.
Bummer

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.
