Yeah Slick, I know the feeling. Since I moved here from HI, we're still looking for the ideal property between Las Vegas (NM) and Santa Fe, a respectable distance off I-25.

I had to pack up what I had in HI and can't put it down again until I get out of rental property. We've got a couple of locs in the fire but will probable not be able to think about a new layout until next year. So....

The C&S loco is sitting in it's glass case, the Deltons are back in the box, the track is still packed, and I'm going to spend the winter kitbashing a Mimi or a Sampson, and if luck holds out, Mama will get me the SR&RL for my b-day so I can have it over the winter to tackle on the table alongside whatever I bash.

I hope to get the modified site up within the next month with leftovers from the HI site and some new stuff.

I'm just following all these great folks here who ar bringing their extensive modeling experience outside that I do not have, getting some great ideas in the process, and trying not to be TOO big of a pain in the *** along the way. The first word after my age profile is 'curmedgeon'. I'm hope I'm not TOO big of one.

BTW, Aster has some less pricey stuff than the C&S (and pricey-ER to be sure), but you can get a good lower end piece for the price of a good Sparkie and it will still go up in $$$ as time goes by. Have you seen this one:

http://www.sidestreetbannerworks.com/railways/Lion/review.html

..or you could check the page of good RTR stuff at:

http://www.wagonandcarriage.co.uk/

There's quite a bit of good RTR stuff for sale here for both Steamers and Sparkers. It's a large site and can take a while to get thru, especially when your mouth starts watering.

Regards,

LDH
