Mums the word
Posted by FJ and G on Sunday, October 1, 2006 2:14 PM
Removed my Mexican Heather, as I discovered after buying it it hates cold (first photo dug up and potted; replaced it with little ruby mums (2nd photo)). It is the closest I could come to Mexican Heather's violet look. Flowers are a bit too large but what the hey

OK, now I'm a bit confused. I just went outside to look at the plants and the tag says Aster but they were sold as mums; can't they get the labeling right?

David;
The label on the plant container is correct, the sales jockey you talked to simply does not have the ability to read.  Sorry to burst your bubble but you got asters not mums.

Thanks, Tom. THe label on the tray said Mums, as did the pot; but when I looked at the little plastic stick in soil tag is said Aster; this isn't the first time I've bought things with different labels.
