One problem is that two 4 ohm speakers in series may not necessarilly give you 8 ohms, it may but then again it may not. The variationin any case is not all that noticable as it is when you come up against a 75 ohm balanced line or a 600 ohm telecommunication line things may go awry. Did you know i have actually visited the Count Alessandro Volta museum at Lake Como in Italy and he is the person after whom volts are named. Very interesting! Rgds Ian
