USA intermodal 5 car set, where does the square piece go?
Posted by gmpullman on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 1:15 AM

Hello...

I just received my first set of the 5 car articulated intermodal cars from USA Trains... Packed with the cars are two square plastic pieces which are the width of the cars. They have small locater pins on each end. There are only instructions included to tell you how the cars are arranged but NO instructions about these two plastic pieces painted the car color... I've looked all over! Where do they go?

Thanks, ED

I think I figured it out!  It seems to fit between the handrail uprights and just under each hand brake bracket on the A and B cars. There's locating holes on the upright angle iron.

USA Trains has a lack of documentation. At least Aristo Craft has on line PDF's for almost all their products!

Thanks, ED

USA has some on-line documents, but getting to it is obscure.

try this for a document and just change the model number for another document.

You'll love the 5 pks, much cheaper on Kadee couplers.
After your train grows you'll need to install #789s other wise the tongues on the cars pull down and uncouple.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.
