It always amazes me that most folks think it's hard to get started in Garden Railroading. I thought I would share some photos of how easy it actually is.

It really is just that easy!

The completed brochure is on our website in the downloads section under "track plans". It's called "You can do it: Build a garden railway".

Well said!  That is my point exactly, start small, but do something.  Who knows where it will lead..........

Thats rather neat and does illustrate how simple it can be - reminds me of my first Hornby O gauge clackwork set .

Jack when I looked at photo 3, I thought you were joining the road lobby and paving it over! ( or building a streetcar line )

I agree, I've been advocating just how simple building an outdoor layout can be since building it. It only took a weekend to put together, so there really IS NO EXCUSE for NOT having an outdoor layout even if your extremely tight for space, albiet a planter, a fountain, or a few extra square feet of yard

Nice layout but have you forgotten water and electricity don`t mix. It can be very costy getting loco`s repaired after water damage
