visitng the Trains.com forums more or less? I find myself visitng less for some reason. There just are not a lot of good topics that spark my interest. I would rather visit MLS. Whats your opinion?

Personally I think the people visiting the forum make it what they want it to be.
This time of the year I spend more time on the trains and on the job . Winter is my slower time and spend more time posting and sharing the hobby.
Now get out and play trains.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.

I've noticed a general drop off in activity over the last 1/2 year. There have been some controversies that have shy off some users. We've also had some personality clashes that also have resulted in a drop in activity. Summer is always slower than winter but the recent forum changes might also have shifted some people over to other forums, some will return, some won't, thats the way things are.

Eventually new members help fill in the voids, activity should be back to normal after a couple months, if not, once the cold weather shuts them snowbound garden railroaders in, activity will pick up.

   Have fun with your trains

What Vic said.Approve [^]

Even though it is STILL raining here, I have my eye on the garden and the things I want ready when the wet stuff finally stops falling.

Of course, in a couple of weeks I'll be moaning about the heat!

Matt,

I am a member of both Forums and enjoy the distinct personality and personalities of each.  I don't compare them because they are different.  Some things I post here. Other items are posted "there."  Ocasionally I post an item in both, always getting very different responses.  All of the Forums I visit go through cycles of more or less interesting activity over time.  Just be patient.

Marty and VSmith gave great counsel.  Start by posting questions or projects that are of interest to you, then sit back and watch the replies.  Then it will be better here - for you and all.

I don't know about anyone else, but I miss the quick reply box.  I also have had trouble with the new reply/message box not allowing edits after a mistake has been made and caught by the forum software.

I'm less tempted to reply because of the extra hassle I have to go through.  (Which involves disabling a web filter so the Javascript here works right.)

Many forums, not so much time.

I also find that I do not visit this forum as much.

Nothing against this forum, but I do find little of educational value here to me as compaired to other forums.

I am on the train forums everyday, and it would seem to be an important part of my retired life now.

I do like however, when I can help someone new to G gauge railroading here from time to time.

I did not like however, giving all my personal poop out to re-join this forum.
