Looking for a Brass Band.

I've got the gazebo up for the wife and now am looking for a small "city band" to play in the gazebo. All I have found are marching bands. SWMBO (a.k.a. the wife) wants is a band where the members are seated. If any of you have knowledge of a band of this type please let me know. Otherwise, I'll be looking for some good ideas in how to modify a marching band. I'd prefer something at 1:22.5 (1:20~1:25 will work).

Never seen a g scale seated band - how about making a silicone mould of a seated figure lower half , resin casting an appropriate number of bottom bits and attatching tops from the marching guys?I believe elastolin made some but given the likely cost and availability I suspect it would be a no go. Sounds a delightful idea for a layout tho .

I've seen some German Soldiers...
Wehrmarcht
and/or
Luftwaffe
at the Preiser site...
One could...if they wanted to since these things sell for about $30 max on line, take an X-acto blade, some sand paper and some paint and render them into less Germanic civilians.

Hi Major C
I believe they also do some Prussian bandsmen from a much earlier era
Which could probably be bodged into something remenicent of the
American war of independance.
I really think for the colourful uniforms ect it need's to come from aome what earlier than WWII or be HM's Grenadier Guards.
Totaly biased opinion of course[:D].
I am guessing ttrigg's SWMBO want's a colourfull band
regards John
