I know this will not help you at the moment, I have 1 with the instructions BUT it's packed away and I can not access anything in the atttic, Helped 2 of the Chrildren move so all of the excess is stacked under the attic access ( you know MOM&POPS storage ). Boy do we need a LOST THE INSTRUCTIONS Forum topic.[soapbox][soapbox]

The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.

I wonder if you might be able to get the instructions and/or parts list from Bachmann?

Slipping drive will be a cracked main drive gear, they are too tight a fit, contact bachmann as this is an achilles heel of this loco and they should be able to give you a copy of the instructions, bachmann uk sent me two replacement axles already fitted. You'll probably have to pay a little bit but if they send you just the gears ream them out a bit so they are still a push fit and help secure with a small drop of thick super glue or loctite.

I saw your post on the Bachmann forum, and it is as expected.

There IS no lifetime warranty on evilbay purchases.

Period.

Maybe you learned a lesson. What you have now is a parts loco. Go find a good one and you've got parts.

Be careful about UK gearsets.

When Riley re-designed the green Lyn for the US, my understanding is they changed the gear ratio.

I have had this loco up and runnig for the last few weeks.A friend of mine lowered the motor some how and recut the gears. The loco has had no problems pulling or pushing three cars.I have located many of the parts that I needed, but i still need a cylinder cover for the front side.If anyone out there has one that I could buy, please let me know.I don't know alot about locos but did this loco have a strait smoke stack or one like on the other 2-4-2 with tender that Bachmann made?My loco is the coal creek loco 2-4-2t.

Thanks for any help.
