G gauge Plus at Clark Gardens
Posted by Paul W. Beverung on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 12:08 PM
Afternoon All: I just stoped in from the Coffee Shop to let you all know about a doings at Clark Gardens this weekend.

I guess I should tell you about the gardens first. Clark Gardens is a privately owned botanic garden west of Fort Worth Tex. just off of hiway 180. It is just east of Mineral Wells and west of Weatherford. There are signs along 180 before the turn for the gardens. They have a very nice G gauge layout that has just been doubled in size. There are several trains running and plenty of real nice landscaping.

Last year they had a train show with a group from the Ft. Worth, Dallas area participating. This year the same group is coming out plus our bunch is bringing our super size 7!/2 inch gauge equipment out. All in all it should be a good show plus you get to see the gardens.

I hope to see you there.

Paul,
Do the trains run year round? Could this be a possibility for our list of railroads open to the public?

Rene: The trains are running most of the time. The park is open year round. I'd say that the gardens should be added to the list. They have a web site Clark Garden .com.
