I just started receiving GR in Dec. Can some one tell me the part no. (Ozark) and size of wheels used to make the flat car built on GR Oct. 2005. This is referenced in Garden Railway Basics by Kevin Strong - Brass tacks (and other metal bits), part 2.

Ozark Miniatures parts:
Braced journal OM-1011 or
Journal OM-0017
Either can be used.
As for wheel size, Bachmann small diameter ore car wheels look best to me.
Good Luck
Have fun with your trains

Tom,
The wheels I used were old San-Val wheels, which they no longer make. (They still make a larger diameter wheel, equal to the "common" diameter used in large scale rolling stock.)
I'd go with the Bachmann 24.5mm wheels, which should be available from almost any shop that carries large scale trains. Alternatively, you can try Gary Raymond or Sierra Valley. They both make wheels in a variety of sizes. The ones I used are right around 1" diameter.
Oh, and the journals are Ozark Miniatures part 0017 (Thanks vsmith!)
Later,
K

Thanks for the answers. Now I'll order the parts and spend some time building.
