It's Rex, the track dog.

Found by C. Jimmy Sanderson at a local pizza establishment, the young pit bull puppy was raised into a very loyal guard and valuable member of the N&MRR workcrew.

"I named him Rex" said Jimmy Sanderson nearly sobbing, "I named him after my Father-in-law."

Currently Rex can be found with the track gang and even with several breakman who toss him a crumb every now and then. He normally makes a bed on the back of Caboose 57.

"Its not unusual," said Conductor Rodriguez of the Garden Flyer, "for him to fall asleep in Two Trees and wake up in Ian's Meadow. If it wasn't for the fact that that Caboose never leaves the line, he might wake up in California."
