How tight will the intermodal cars handle a curve?

Hey there,
Given their length I would say no less than an 8' diameter curve. Besides, they would look a bit strange on a tighter curve. Ideally I would say 16' diameter curves would be very realistic for running these cars. Then again you need the room for such a layout. Hope that helps you out. Later eh...Brian.

I bought just one to see how it handled my 10 ' dia curves, (thinking I could always resale it) then I liked them and rebuilt two bridges and a tunnel to make them work. Now after upgrading the RR to 20'dia min, they look great.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.

My minimum diameter is 10 foot, and the cars are fine, running a 14 car train with no problems, even with S curves, but the overhang is a lot. Had to trim some plants!

The intermodal cars tracked better than I thought they would, so I'd go ahead!
