China.com wanted to give me password information in a email subject line. That one got deleted on sight. I dont know anything about strange emails containing viruses. But keeping a short list of family and friends that you know, firewall and antivirus updated and running and anti-spyware programs running as well. (And update your systems) The rest gets sent into the bulk folder and I never see them. Once in a while a ebayer will end up in it and I have to fish it out. I run everything 24/7 since last summer and have been lucky thus far. I will be purchasing a hardware firewall to harden my defences. It is our responisbility as good internet users to protect ourselves as much as possible. You know what? The day the net becomes a problem I would toss this computer out the window and visit trains.com from a public library computer. Let the library deal with the busted systems. I am not sure where our future holds for us on the internet but I would think that we are in a sort of a war. A war against those that seek to steal our identities, destroy our data and interfere with our digital lives.
