Its not as grand and COOL as Hensons but it will work
I'm hoping for a really natrual looking pond.
next is to dig the water fall areas.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Marty, is that an actual pond liner or rubber roofing?

Marty, without being too nosey, just how much acreage do you have?

My entire layout will fit in your pond!

Greg,
I was at Marty's house last summer with the family in tow. I believe he has 4 to 4-1/2 acres. His layout is literally a hill behind his house. Stunning to say the least. I can't quite tell where his pond is in relation to the yard but he will have several options for a waterfall I'm sure! Later eh...Brian.

Marty,
We have never met but I must say I look forward to seeing pictures of your Railroad whenever you or someone else posts them. I am sure that your NEW POND will be a work from your heart. After seeing the many pictures of your railroad that have been posted on the forums it shows that you and your "FAMILY" have put your HEARTS and SOULS into it and its a job WELL DONE. Good Luck with the NEW pond
Happy Railroading,
Ron

Your so kind.
For those new folks , this is my 4th RR and 14 year in the hobby. So I make it look easier than it is.
we do have 4 acres and the RR is set to were IF we ever move I don't have to take up all the plants, just the track /bridges.
The pond is by our patio to the back door. I have to have it deep because the coons get into it.
I like the building aspect of the hobby the most. But I'm getting very tired of yard work.
I'll share photos as soon as the falls get running.

So here's my question? Did you dig that by hand? My back is STILL reminding me that mine is hand dug. I'm not so sure that was too smart.

Anyway, Marty, it's a great looking pond, brother.

We started to dig it by hand then gave up, used a mini back hoe which produced 5 trailor loads of dirt. Three of which went to fill the old pond.
Everything seems to be working fine so far, no leaks.[:)]
