* I have installed one of their Scale Command systems in a USA Pennsy GP-9 and have almost completed installing one in an Aristo-Craft N/S SD-45. USA trains are pushing this system for their locomotives and provide adequate information for the installation. Non-USA engines are a different story and the installation is somewhat more complicated.
* I love the sound system that is provided for the individual types of locomotives. There are three adjustable levels of volume. No magnets are required to operate the sounds which include bells, two types of "Cab talk", deisel ramp-up, and the locomotive's air horn.
* I have found that a clean track is essential as the power and signals are transmitted through the rails.
* I have had a difficult time obtaining the electronic's from a dealer. Not many have any experience with this system on G-scale trains.
* The power supply used is an A-C unit as opposed to everyone else's D-C units. A large Lionel type power supply is used along with a 'signal enhancer' to provide constant voltage to the rails.
* I have no previous experience with DCC or Aristo's Train Engineer, but I am EXTREMELY pleased with what my scale command does for me....
