George, consider using Aristo for your new track then you can use the screw fixings, the only solder joint will be on the LGB to Aristo joint. Any future problems in the Aristo track can be solved by clamps as Benny said or by a jumper wire. <br />Cheers, <br />Kim <br />[tup]
