I think LGB is top quality in terms of performance but I have very little LGB other than speciality items. In general, (my opinion) I think most LGB stuff look "wrong" when mixed with my USA/Aristocraft stock. Although some recent items have more detail, the LGB stock looks very plain Jane next to the rest of my stock. If LGB started producing more 1:29 (or close) stuff with better detail, I would be very interested in more LGB. The RailBox car is definetly a move in that direction and I intend to get some of those. Although they are slightly different in size/detail from USA/Aristo stuff, it works for me as long as I don't try to put a LGB item next to a USA/Aristo car that is of the same type. Example...don't try to run a RailBox car from LGB next to a RailBox from Aristocraft.
