i just bought an aristo craft manual switch trackand when i try to turn it my train derails does any one know ho to fix it???[%-)]

We need more information than what you have provided. For example, what type or model of locomotive is derailing? Have you checked the wheel gauge? Is the turnout throwing all the way over? Push on the rail after you throw the mechanism to insure that the rails are closing tightly against each other. I have had some problems with these turnouts sticking, so I always pu***he movable rails over by hand after throwing the lever. What size switch track do you have? I have no experience with anything but AristoCraft's #6 and large radius turnouts. Maybe the turnout is too sharp a curve for your train to negotiate.

Hi yuop, Had the same problem with my one and only switch when the loco came in from the switch throat into the curve. Look at the moving rail section, does the track sit snugly against the fixed rail? I bet there's a gap of a few of thou, just enough to encourage your wheels to go straight on. I bent the top of this piece of rail over to fill the gap and I have never had a problem since, as Vic says I do always check when I throw the switch.

Check to make sure your wheels are negotiating the re-railer (guard rail) properly. A bent guard rail will derail your loco and cars.

Buy LGBs, little bit more $ but they dont derail all the time like ^%&^$ Aristo's do and I'm not going to waste time correcting Aristo bad design flaws.

Aristo IS good for straights and curves, bit their switches are [censored]
