Hi all,

I picked up a DVD this weekend and I just wanted to put out a heads up to keep an eye out for it at your local Blockbuster, hopefully they'll stock this one!

STEAMBOY

A new anime movie from the animator Katsuhiro Otomo who did the groundbreaking and breathtaking anime "Akira"

This movie is set in 1866 England and involves a story about a fantastic new steam power device and the intrigue and consiquent struggle to possess this device, Thats all I'm going to say on the story because its a real blast of a movie! I am an old coot when it comes to Anime, nothing much impresses me anymore. THIS DID!

HOLY COW what action! The animation, is probably the best I've ever seen!

There are several steam powered vehicles in this movie that are just DYING to be modeled, landtanks, steam flying vehicles, submarines, stuff right out of Jules Vernes !!!

Lots of train scenes, a steam train being pursued by a zeppelin, and a tug of war between several locomotives and an enormous flying machine,

This is one fun movie.

Yep, Japanese, some of the best stuff I've ever seen here. Too bad the site I linked it to doesnt have a better selection in its image gallery.
