Just got back from a weeks vacation/honeymoon- here it is in a nutshell:

Taking new wife to Boothbay Harbor, Maine for a week: $3,000

Riding the 2ft narrow gauge Sandy River & Rangley Lakes RR: $16.00 (more on this later)

Seeing my boyhood home and best friend after 20 year absence: PRICELESS!!

But then...
If he's spent the last 20 years making those kitchen cabinets,he really does need to speed up a bit [:D]

Actualy, Troy, he spent the last 12 building the whole house, and a very nice job of it he did!

I always felt that marriage was a wonderful institution, but then again, who wants to spend the rest of thier life in an institution!

Shocking absense of hobby stores in the North. My friend got me involved in model trains when we were about 11 or so, and I think I got him involved in garden RR last week! "Say, Scott, what ARE you planning on doing with that garden back there anyway..........?"
See my other post about the RR. I did most of my train shopping at the museum.

Yes, those are light jackets we are wearing in Maine. Nights got down to about 60, days to 80, VERY nice after the heat and humidity of VA.

Sorry Troy, the cabinets are the only things he paid somebody else to do. Bring forth the cheque book my good man.

The best thing I can do is wish you and Michelle the happiness that Di & I have found so late in our lives! Since you guys were here and have met us, you know what I mean! Can't say any better than that!

Nice one T Jack, love 'em or hate 'em, can't do without 'em. Gail keeps asking me to paint the kitchen, 'what's a kitchen?' I ask back, 'and where is it?' That keeps her quiet for a day or three and it's a good job I can't mind read!
Cheers,
Kim

Not only that, Torby, she insisted that I spend money in the gift shop! We spent most of the day on the RR, the rest of the week was spent island hopping and eating seafood. [dinner]
