GOT TO LOVE THEM USA DIESELS
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 31, 2005 8:43 AM
hello I am a collector of USA trains collectable diesels I have liked there product ever since I remember.
I have had a stroke and thank God I am here to tell about living through it. my memory isn't what it use to be I love all of my diesels nw2's, f3's, ab abba aa gp30, gp38-2, sd40-2 total of 65 engines. waiting for the sd70 mac I want at least 4.
I am telling you all this to let you know I bought the B&O set f3's long time ago #'s 85&86 and I have been looking for the sought after #'s 82&83 well I found some and they should be here next week I will have my abba in B&O along with drgw atsf acl just missed a b unit for my gn. reliving my child hood I guess I didn't get many trains as a child I am making up for it now a bit better sound and every thing. I run my RR daily 2 freights east and west 2 loops.

Thank God for large scale RR and Mr. Charles Ro for USA trains.

MAY THE LIGHT OF LORD SHINE ON YOU.

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Train-me,
I am new to G scale outdoor Rail Roading (about a year now). I have 3 USA Trains engines, 2 GE 44 toners and a GP38-2 which are the main motive power for my railroad now. I envy you and the equipment you have. I have the problem that Charles Ro and USA Trains is too close to where I live and work and I don#8217;t make enough money to buy what I want. Do you know any rich people that would like to adopt and over the hill family?

Thank you, Jaime

I am so glad you all love USA trains.

I recently picked up a GE44 tonner, and want to open her up to see how they've wired the insides - I want to put a digital chip in it.

Has anyone got any ideas, before I attempt surgery?

thanks

Just be real careful. I opened one of mine up to paint the body for a different RR. I thought I put everything back correctly but I got something backwards and now the headlight goes on on the wrong end. I did not think I touched anything that woulf\d affect it.
Thank you, Jaime

Actually I do not love them, I have a deep seated dislike for them: big, grosse ugly with no charm or style.

Biggest is rarely best!

I have 2 questions on USA products...
1) I am in process of converting everything to Kadee. What Kadee's are you guys using on the GP38-2 and the F3 ABA?
2) I would like to get some GP7/9 but they draw too many amps for my Locolink RC receivers (5 amp max). Are there any aftermarket motors or modifications I can make to a GP7/9 that would make it work for me. Right now I am thinking I might be able to pull one motor and run it on a single motor to lower the load. Not looking to pull a long train...mainly use as a switcher.
