Question
Posted by custom900 on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 8:18 PM
I have a LGB freight starter set and just received a Bachman passenger starter set. The Backman is full scale. They will not be running on the same track but will be close together. Will this look silly.

Thanks for the input.

Sean,

Of course not!! Unless you're a stickler for accuracy in scale, then there is no problem in running whatever you want on your railroad. You're the CEO of your minature empire and what you say, and what you run is your decision. The important thing is to just have fun runnin' trains!!

Sean, a big [#welcome] from this side of the pond. As Dave said, it's your empire and what you say goes - as long as the wife agrees! If your trains look right to you mate then they are right and when they're out in the garden you'll never even notice. Enjoy mate. Having got an LGB set with track and a Bachmann with track you will notice there's a slight difference in the said track!
Cheers,
Kim

Sean,
[#welcome] to the forum. Glad to have you aboard. Nothing wrong with the mix. Run what you like, and like what you run. As long as you enjoy what you are doing then nothing else matters. Enjoy the forum! Later eh...Brian.

ARE YOU GUYS KIDDING!!!!!! That Bachmann is gonna make the other stuff look like z scale. I wouldn't put them together unless you want to hear comments like, "oh, so you don't really know all that much about scale and gauge after all." or "How did you get that HO stuff to run on G-Scale track."

JUST KIDDING!!!!! I put some bachmann flats and a bachmann box car alongside some aristo sierra passenger cars and as far as I'm concerned, (ten foot rule applies) there isn't enough difference to worry about it. I think the biggest problem I had was getting the hook and loop couplers to line up

I'm sorry the picture isn't bigger but here I have an LGB Mogul pulling a Bachmann flat and a Bachmann log car, followed by an Aristo long caboose.

Hope this helps and enjoy your trains.

Mark
