Got motive power on the way!
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 9:36 AM
Yesterday, I ordered my 4-6-0 Bachmann for my Mogul bash! I was also able to have some prints blown up to 1:20 of the Mogul I'm modeling. I am although going to need to get some track for a test track and a small transformer temporairlly(spell) to make sure nothing binds and it runs well, then it's off to TOC for battery install. Already exchanged e-mails with him on limitations of what not to screw with so his job will be straight forward.

This is just down right exciting![:D][:D[:p]
I haven't even tyold my RR buddy(my Daughter) about it yet! She did manage to talk me into buying her a Pink enginners hat at the last GATS show.

Vic, I am going to post the bash in a step by step if possible.
Ben, You better believe it!
Troy, your absolutely right on the picture thing, although I'm confident I can do it other then a little nervous in changing around the valve gear to look right, kinda of funny I don't even know the name of the one I'm changing it to!

Congrats on the motive power. I'd imagine something along the lines of a W&W loco? Should be a fun project.

Later,

Kevin, Yep! W&W of course which is a Cooke Mogul. I Also believe the Valve gear to be a stephenson due to last nights research.

Jack thanks! It's Been along time a coming!

It arrived! Bachmann 4-6-0 annie soon to be 2-6-0 Mogul[:p]. Time to move this one to the scratch and bash section! I do need to buy some track and a cheap power source so I can test it and the valve gear modifications.

I don't think she'd give a rats patootie if I did. She's happy for me but still doesn't get the attraction. Maybe she'll come around on the gardening end, she loves that!
