Ozark has tons of logging and mining detail equipement, donkey engines, loading skips. etc.

Bachmann sells the best looking wooden ore tip car, a bit of an oversized metal ore tipper car, Terrific 20' flat, boxcar and gondola, shorty bobber caboose and waycar, a short 20' logging skeleton car, and a centerdump ore car. Great for the $.

LGB sells terrific metal sidedump ore cars, OK tipper ore car (about the same as HLW's), really good looking log disconnects, various short 2 axle cars and 3 different bobber cabeese ( 2 end cupola and one center cupola) $ to $$$

HLW shorty mini-cars are a good low cost source of cars $

Accucraft sells very well done 2 axle ore care, and 2 axle flat cars.but $$$.

Sierra models sells great 1/20 kits, nice but high priced $$$

Garden Texture sells kits for mining and logging structures, camp houses etc.

I'm sure I'm missing some other stuff, but this is a good roundup.

   Have fun with your trains

Why do it why not do something original, this logging and mining has been done to death. Why not do a city scene or botanical or even a few castles like in europe.

Anything but the same old bloody things cause every one else has dome it!

Iandor;

Because it's fun.[8D]

Scott,
If you have access to a good hobby shop, see if they carry the magazines "Timber Times" or "Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette". There are a lot of good ads for specialty equipment. While they aren't replacements for Garden Railways, they do have a lot of good info for the specialty areas for Narrow Gauge.

I haven't purchased any of their stuff, but Western Scale Models also has some G Gauge equipment. http://www.westernscalemodels.com/

Thanks again,
Scott
