....nothing.... but in all fairness, I've had a lot on my plate. Worked on the garden railroad extensively last year, this year I'm operating it usually twice a week. And, I'm experimenting with letting some of the shrubbery grow out, to partially hide the original section of the layout, and create a hidden alcove! Things evolve...It will soon be too hot, and I'll take cover inside and work on the indoor layout.
Also, we went to Japan last week. Went to the train museum in Nagoya; fantastic! Took a fast ride on the Shinkansen, N700S. It is wicked fast! Most exhilarating!...just another one of my weaknesses.....

it's been broiling hot outside! I have been just watering a few plants, and coming back inside. Haven't run the G in at least 3 weeks, due to the heat. But,Iwant to....
Some bushes are getting huge, and overgrown. I'll have to trim it up when the heat breaks....

Better excuse than mine, Paul! Basically, I bit off more than I could chew when I promised my boy to make a submarine-carrying car. The submarine he built from ovaltine cans and broken epee parts required a lowered, articulated car!
Here's the submarine in its cradle:
We made two platforms to sit over LGB archbar trucks, and we cut some "swing bars" to connect it all together. The whole deserves and will get a separate post in time. This has been an iterative project made challenging by the size of his submarine!
