Its like drugs, once they know they got you hooked, they know they can raise the prices on you...

Steve,
I renewed for three years. It was by far the best deal. Cost almost HALF of regular rates. They gave me this option when I called in to renew. All the best. Later eh...Brian.

Train-me,
Since the cost of renewals falls out of my realm of knowledge, I have emailed our circulation department and asked them to respond here.

Train-me,

We are committed to raising awareness and participation in the hobbies we serve. Similar to many other publishers, we offer special promotions and discounts on our magazines. Frequently, new subscribers are offered one-time introductory offers. Introductory rates allow us to reach new subscribers and stimulate interest in the hobby.

We would love to be able to prepare, edit, publish and distribute at rates similar to our introductory offers. Unfortunately, this is simply not possible without affecting the high quality and continued success of Garden Railways.

Upon expiration of the first year, renewals are promoted at our regular rate. All subscribers are offered a 5% discount with their first renewal notice. If there is no response to this offer, subsequent notices will reflect the normal rate.

I hope this answers your question. We regret any confusion the multiple rates may cause.
