Pulling Weight

Surprised that this question wasn't answered earlier! Here is the answer!!!. A g gauge train traveling from Buffalo to Erie, not making any stops and running on a flat grade will be able to pull 10 lbs. without any particular problem. 10 lbs is alot of weight for one car to handle so the weight of your display must be distributed over at least 2 or 3 cars with metal wheels. The problem you will encounter is the display being too top heavy. It might sway in a turn if it is too top heavy and cause a tip over, derailment or uncouple. If the display is distributed over a few flat cars then be sure that they are able to turn and that the display is secured to the cars properly. Good Luck and maybe you can post a photo of your display featuring our beloved G gauge trains. <br />pfd586
