LGB 2-6-2
Posted by NVSRR on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 12:33 PM

I have an early version with the mechanical. Bell.   On the engineer side by the drivers is a little black disk that plugs into the side. i am guessing for easy replacement. It is somehow related to the sound since the disk is cracked so the sound doesnt work.  Been tryingvto get a replacement.  So far i have found one place thatvwas able to tell me itnis 36 ohms. And they where usually extras with the loco.  As far. Rxactly what it is and getting replacements. Nobody has been able to help. The current LGB owners can not go back past 2005 no help there.   Been trying to find that part and maybe a replcement sound board. Depending on why it cracked.  Ebay is useless. Anybody be able to help?

An optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel

A realist sees a frieght train

An engineer sees three idiots standing on the tracks stairing blankly in space

It's a thermistor if I remember right.

Contact Train-Li then can help you get the part.

I will echo Greg.  Trainli helped me get parts for multiple Stainz as well as my 0-6-2T, all of which my famly bought in the 1980-s.
