Jeff, closest to you in the picture around the white building is creeping jenny, a ground cover that will really take off unless you control it. <br /> <br />The spiky plants at left are several types of lillyturf, which is not exactly scale but it looks good for much of the year, is drought resistant and can handle sun and shade. <br /> <br />Another ground cover I use is ajuga, which can handle sun or shade. In the spring it has nice spiky flowers and is easy to grow. <br /> <br />I live in South Jersey about 50 miles southeast of Philadelphia if that gives you an indication of the climate. The temperature can range from 0 to 100 degrees F. <br /> <br />Regards, <br />Bill C.
