LGB 65001 chug is too slow
Posted by doutrnz on Sunday, November 13, 2016 7:19 PM

Hi everyone,

I installed sound in my LGB steam loco and everything has been great. The issue I have, which would make this experience 100% complete, is that the sensitivity where the chug sound comes into play is too slow. I have to crank my transformer to 75% where the sound appears normal. The downside is my train is speeding around unrealistically. I have the resistors they recommended attached to the soundboard (Where you can still hear sound when the power on the transformer is off) and reedy sensors under the wheels but I can't find anyway to adjust the chug interval. Any ideas?

Transformer is a MRC Power G

Resistor/battery is part 65011

Thanks in advance!!

There is no option unless you have the LGB MTS digital system or know someone that does.  I believe the chuff rate is adjustable if you can take it to a digitaly run layout.  Those ad on sounds were a rip off when one prices out adding an aftermarket sound board from Phoneix ect.
