<p>Playmobil introduced those LGB made trains in 1980, and while they were quite successful in their early years, sales dropped considerably in the late 1990´s, as children´s interest moved away from toy trains. Most of the train sets ended up in the dump, so they are rare, but overpriced  items today.</p>
