Well I purchased the replacement drive motor for my starter set locomotive and installed it. The locomotive is up and running like new again.

I have added to my set a Playmobil train station and a Playmobil motorized cargo crane. Also added a Playmobil cargo train with added coal tipper car, flatbed car and a LGB toy train caboose. Just bought a LGB toy train ICE train as well. Will be getting the 2nd motor unit with LED headlights for the ICE as well as the 2nd passenger car and the bistro restaurant car as well. Later on planning to add a Playmobil airport with cargo jet. Also a Playmobil clinic as well.

Cool what they done with that real train. I do not have the room or the finances for something like that though. I will stay with my model trains. Installed a red led light in the back of the ICE 3 train with a switch and a 14V 10A LiFePO4 battery pack to run the led light till I get the motor upgrade kit next year.

Picked up the LGB 2nd motor unit for the LGB Ice 3 train and installed it and removed the LiFePO4 battery pack and added some Lead weight as well. Also picked up the LGB 1st class and Bistro Restaurant Ice 3 cars as well. Also added the metal wheels as well. As a bonus the local hobby shop sold me a old used LGB 10A 24V Jumbo power supply unit that just needed a little bit of work for $75.00. I bought it and took it home and fixed it up and it only took about 1/2 an hour and it was back up and running. Repaired some poor solder connections and cleaned up some minor corrosion points as well. I then purchased the corresponding LGB Wired Remote for the LGB Jumbo 10A 24V power supply. Using it instead of my separate LGB 6A 18V transformer and LGB 5A throttle combo. I love the ability to adjust the braking and throttle ramps and min/max voltages as well. Will look into the Jumbo's built in automation features later on as well.

Also the red base station with battery powered gun and remote controlled car. Also the green remote controlled car as well. Also added more automobiles and figures from the spy tech theme as well. Just picked up the Playmobil Police helicopter as well.
